Por fin SEGA ha terminado de anunciar los juegos que vendrán incluidos en SEGA Mega Drive Mini, pero como suele se habitual la selección de juegos japonesa ha sido ligeramente distinta, y allí se han confirmado varios títulos que no estarán en el modelo occidental, como Assault Suits Leynos, Langrisser II, Slap Fight y Snow Bros.

En Japón además se pondrá a la venta un accesorio no funcional, solo decorativo, con el Mega CD y 32X, llamado Mega Drive Tower Mini.
Mega Drive Mini se lanzará en todo el mundo el 19 de septiembre y su precio en Europa será de 79,99 euros. El pack que se pondrá a la venta en España incluirá la consola, dos mandos de tres botones (en Japón vienen los de seis botones), un cable USB y un cable HDMI.
